Classes are offered through Metropolitan Community College and are only available online and accessible to everyone. ​Online classes require a smartphone, PC/Mac, or tablet with audio and video capabilities, internet connection of, at least, 25mbps, and Zoom or Google Meet.

Web & Social Media Analytics (INFO 1327)

In this course, students develop the skills necessary to spot social media trends and monitor web traffic for the workplace. Students learn the fundamentals of analytics tools and search engine optimization (SEO). The basics of social media analytics and mobile analytics are covered in this course as well.

Exploring AI Chatbots

Learn how to build a basic yet aesthetic website from start to finish with Weebly. We will explore design consistency, proper URL naming and acquisition, image editing, logos, build (using Weebly), add-ons (Google calendar, PayPal buttons, etc.), proofing, and publication. Remember, this is a basic website, not an ecommerce powerhouse! Students will need to know their way around a computer and will be tasked with creating a folder on the desktop, downloading files from the internet, creating a Weebly account, and several other advanced beginner/intermediate level items during this class. 

Prerequisite: HTML Basics and Website Builder Preparation.

Great for artists, photographers, and writers who are just starting out. We will explore design consistency, proper URL naming and acquisition, image editing, logos, watermarks, build (using Google Sites), incorporating a calendar, proofing, and publication. Students will need to know their way around a computer and will be tasked with creating a folder on the desktop, downloading files from the internet, uploading files from their computers, creating a Google account (if applicable), and several other advanced beginner/intermediate level items during this class. Digital Marketing Tools to Grow Your Business

Want to learn how digital marketing can extend your business reach? We will explore how the craft of writing intriguing social media posts, properly implemented SEO, and some Google tools can set you apart from the crowd. Also, how ChatGPT and Canva can aid in some tasks. Lastly, your websites and social media pages will be constructively critiqued with goals assigned. You will need a Gmail account (you will need to log into your account in order to access Google tools).

Emerging technologies increase engagement and enhance user experience. In this course, students investigate emerging technologies, such as Virtual Reality, wearable technologies, Artificial Intelligence, and e-commerce technologies. Students also contemplate ethics and laws related to using emerging technologies for personal and professional use.
