CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS 

Classes are offered through Metropolitan Community College and are only available online and accessible to everyone. ​Online classes require a smartphone, PC/Mac, or tablet with audio and video capabilities, internet connection of, at least, 25mbps, and Zoom or Google Meet.

Digital Marketing Tools to Grow Your Business

Want to learn how digital marketing can extend your business reach? We will explore how the craft of writing intriguing social media posts, properly implemented SEO, and some Google tools can set you apart from the crowd. Also, how ChatGPT and Canva can aid in some tasks. Lastly, your websites and social media pages will be constructively critiqued with goals assigned. You will need a Gmail account (you will need to log into your account in order to access Google tools).

HTML Basics

Acquire an understanding of website functionality by exploring the fundamentals of HTML, along with effective techniques for organizing and optimizing your files (images, text documents, etc.). Discover new keyboard shortcuts and other valuable tips to streamline tasks for an enhanced learning experience. Students will need to know their way around a computer and will be tasked with creating a folder on the desktop, downloading files from the internet, creating a Google account (if applicable), confidently navigating between multiple browser tabs and open programs, and several other advanced beginner/intermediate level items during this class.

Learn how to build a basic yet aesthetic website from start to finish with Google Sites. We will explore design consistency, proper URL naming and acquisition, image editing, logos, build (using Google Sites), add-ons (Google calendar, PayPal buttons, etc.), proofing, and publication.Remember, this is a basic website, not an ecommerce powerhouse! Students will need to know their way around a computer.

Emerging technologies increase engagement and enhance user experience. In this course, students investigate emerging technologies, such as Virtual Reality, wearable technologies, Artificial Intelligence, and e-commerce technologies. Students also contemplate ethics and laws related to using emerging technologies for personal and professional use. NOTE: Please contact MCC registration or your Academic Advisor to sign up!
